Scripture
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you…” —2 Peter 3:9a (NIV)
Devotion
Waiting on God is never easy—especially when our prayers feel like they’re going unanswered. We can start to wonder if He hears us, if He cares, or if we’re doing something wrong. But unanswered prayers are not ignored prayers.
Sometimes, God’s “no” or “not yet” is a gift we can’t see in the moment. He knows what’s best and sees the whole picture when we only see a piece. In the waiting, He’s shaping our character, refining our faith, and drawing us closer to Him.
Don’t stop praying. Keep trusting. God is faithful—even in the silence. He works behind the scenes in ways we may not understand now but will one day.
Prayer
Father, I don’t always understand Your timing, but I trust Your heart. Help me to wait with faith and not grow weary. Even when I don’t see answers, help me believe You are working for my good. Amen.
