Scripture
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” —Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
Devotion
Grief is a journey of the soul. Whether from death, loss, or deep disappointment, grief can feel overwhelming. But God is not distant in our pain—He is near. He weeps with us. He carries us when we can’t move forward on our own.
Faith doesn’t eliminate grief, but it transforms it. Because of Jesus, we have hope that pain won’t have the final word. There is comfort, healing, and even joy ahead—even if you can’t see it yet.
If you are grieving today, know that you are not alone. God is with you. Let Him hold your heart.
Prayer
Lord, this pain is deep, and I don’t always have words. Thank You for being close in my sorrow. Bring comfort and healing to my heart, and help me cling to the hope I have in You. Amen.
