Scripture
“He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.” —Psalm 40:2 (NIV)
Devotion
We all go through seasons where we feel stuck—dry in our faith, distant from God, or uncertain about our next step. It’s easy to feel ashamed or discouraged during these times, but Scripture reminds us that God is a rescuer. He lifts us up, steadies our feet, and restores our steps.
Being stuck doesn’t mean God is absent. Often, He uses these seasons to get our attention, renew our trust, and shift our perspective. Sometimes the very pit we find ourselves in becomes the place where we cry out and reconnect with Him deeply.
If you’re feeling stuck today, know that you’re not alone. Turn to God. Talk to Him honestly. Open His Word. He hasn’t left you—He’s ready to lift you up and place you on solid ground again.
Prayer
Father, I feel stuck and unsure of how to move forward. I need You to lift me up and set me on solid ground. Renew my spirit and restore my faith. Remind me that You are near, even when I feel far from You. Amen.
