Scripture
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” —Colossians 3:23 (NIV)
Devotion
Living like Jesus doesn’t only happen in a church service or during quiet time. It shows up in the boardroom, the kitchen, the classroom, and the checkout line. Whether we’re managing a team, changing diapers, or running errands, we are called to reflect Christ wherever we go.
Jesus lived a fully integrated life—He didn’t separate the spiritual from the practical. He honored God in every interaction, whether He was teaching crowds or preparing breakfast for His disciples. We’re called to do the same.
At work, this might mean showing patience with a frustrating coworker or approaching tasks with excellence even when no one notices. At home, it looks like serving our families with grace, listening before reacting, and creating an atmosphere of peace and love.
When we remember that everything we do can be done unto the Lord, the mundane becomes meaningful. We become witnesses not only by what we say but by how we live, love, and serve—in every environment God places us.
Prayer
Jesus, help me to live like You in every part of my life. May I reflect Your love and character whether I’m at work, at home, or out in the world. Teach me to serve others with humility and to honor You in all that I do. Amen.
