“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” —Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
Feelings can be powerful—but they can also be misleading. In uncertain times, our emotions often pull us in all directions. Fear may rise, doubt may creep in, and anxiety can cloud our judgment. But faith calls us to something higher: to trust in God even when we don’t understand.
Faith doesn’t mean we ignore our emotions. It means we surrender them to God and let Him guide us beyond what we feel. Trusting God is not always easy, especially when circumstances are unclear. But we anchor our hope in the One who sees the end from the beginning.
When we walk by faith, we acknowledge that God is sovereign, even over the unknown. We choose to believe His promises are true, even when our hearts are weary. And in that trust, we find peace that surpasses understanding.
Lord, my feelings are often overwhelming, but I choose to trust You. Help me to lean not on my own understanding, but on Your unfailing love and wisdom. Strengthen my faith, especially in the face of uncertainty. Amen.
