Over the last four weeks on Cell Life Church Live, we have been talking about the first advent of Christ. Each week we talked about a different characteristic brought to us by God through Jesus. We spoke of faith, peace, joy, and hope. Traditionally on Christmas the fifth Advent candle, the Christ candle, is lit celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
In Psalms David calls out to the Lord. "Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions." Psalm 51:1
Everyday I can look back and see something I did wrong. I see something I could have done better, been better at. The bottom line is I'm imperfect and everyday I sin. Even in Romans it says "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

Kelly and I have strived to include our children, ages 11 and 9 at the time of writing, as part of our ministry team as much as possible. I have to say I am quite proud when they argue over who can lead family devotions from time to time. Each one wants to, and we use these times as teachable moments. I count it as a tremendous blessing to have children who want to serve the Lord. I count it as joy for children who strive to be the best they can be in what the Lord has created them to be and do.
